Design Intercourse Podcast (DIP) is focused on design and art in DC – and on the people who make it.

Over the last few years, DC has seen an exciting surge in creativity and innovation – making our city an undeniable force in the creative space. As such, we thought it was time that we had a program of our own dedicated to showing off our city’s unique talent.

In each episode we will host conversations with local designers, artists and experts in their field in the hopes of uncovering new perspectives on methods, craft, process and the creative community in general. Our topics will also include the business of design, freelancing, creating work for social good, and more.

We want to hear what you think.

Host Nathan Hill is a founding partner and principal designer at Nh.d Studio. Nathan began his design career at a small boutique studio in Georgetown, where he learned the foundations of design and project management in a small space. His passion for design led him to pursue experiences with interactive agencies, non-profit organizations and consulting and marketing firms – eventually leading back to a studio environment where his creative skills extend to woodworking, screen printing and illustration.

Nathan serves as Education Director for the AIGA DC chapter, is an adjunct faculty member at The George Washington University’s Corcoran College of the Arts and Design in the BFA design program, and is a founding member of the Petworth Business Community.
